Performing For You

Syncronia was formed in 2018 by Kathryn Siegel and Marty Hackl as a performing violin duo. We both are experienced and regular performers around the Chicago and Rockford regions.

We have both been teaching violin and viola for decades and are still dedicated to passing on our art, experience, and years of knowledge to others. In 2021 we moved to Rockford Illinois and decided to create our own private teaching studio. We now teach students from throughout the Chicago and Rockford regions.

We still perform regularly, notably as players in the Rockford Symphony and the Elgin Symphony, and present many performances throughout the year as a duo, trio with piano, and with larger music ensembles.

In 2018, Kathryn Siegel, violin and Marty Hackl, violin/viola formed their duo, Syncronia.Kathryn has been performing for over two decades with orchestras on many concert stages. She played with the Gulbenkian Orchestra of Lisbon, Portugal for 6 years, touring Europe and South America. She is currently a member of the Elgin Symphony Or-chestra and the Rockford Symphony Orchestra.

Marty has been a Chicago area performer for many years as a recitalist, and as a member of many of the region's notable ensembles, including the Chicago Chamber Orchestra, the Illinois Philharmonic Or-chestra, Light Opera Works, the Northwest Indiana Symphony, an
